The regeneration of a Grade II listed Victorian Handsworth Park, situated in an ethnically rich area of Birmingham. Along with extensive landscape works the project included the conservation and extension of the Sons of Rest (a war veteran’s social hall). The hall was significantly remodeled and extended to accommodate an education facility, a common language of materials and detail was developed across the new building for the park.
The park regeneration received the Birmingham City Design Initiative Award 2007.
