About Us

Walker Cunnington Architects brings together a team of experienced professionals to offer a bespoke service tailored to individual client needs. We cover projects all over the UK from our offices in Cambridge and Sheffield.

With a combined experience of over 45 years in the profession, both partners are chartered RIBA architects and AABC accredited (Architects Accredited in Building Conservation). John-Paul is an active member of the IHBC (Institute of Historic Building Conservation) and the APT (Association of Building Preservation Trusts). These accreditations reflect our significant experience in architectural design and in dealing with historic and listed buildings, combining heritage and conservation expertise with a contemporary and sustainable approach to design.

We are appointed English Heritage (Yorkshire & Humber region) Technical Advisers to buildings on the Heritage at Risk Register. We are on the approved list of architects to work on all grades of church buildings in the dioceses of Wakefield (now West Yorkshire & The Dales), Derby, Sheffield, Lichfield, Birmingham, Worcester and Southwell & Nottingham. We are passionate about finding solutions to ensure that our built heritage has a viable and sustainable role in the future.
