The improvement of visitor facilities to the C12 Grade I listed palace ruins, located to the south of the cathedral enclosure. This included the repair and conversion of the existing stables to house visitor facilities, experimental ‘soft capping’ of ruinous walls, conservation & lighting design for the East Hall undercroft as an events facility and improved intellectual and physical access across the steep hillside site.
